Ingolf Cascorbi is a physician and biochemist. He is Professor of Pharmacology, University of Kiel and Director of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein. Currently he is President of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR) and Chairman of the German Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (DGKliPha). Additionally he is Vice Dean of Education of the Medical Faculty, University of Kiel. His research interests are in pharmacogenomics and -epigenomics, mechanisms of drug resistance as well as in neuropathic pain research and he has published >250 scientific articles.
