The British Pharmacological Society hosted the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology in 2023.

The Society leads the way in the research and application of pharmacology around the world. It is a friendly and collaborative global community, with around 5,000 members from more than 60 countries worldwide. Its members work in academia, industry, regulatory agencies and the health services, and many are medically qualified.

The Society covers pharmacology in all its forms, including laboratory, clinical and toxicological aspects.
